Dear Participants of 2024 YWS Camp

On behalf of the Association of Korean Women Scientists and Engineers (KWSE), I warmly welcome you to the 2024 International Young Woman Scientist Camp. This exciting event, organized by KWSE and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, Korea, will take place on August 13 at the IBS Science Culture Center in Daejeon, Korea. With the inspiring theme "YES (Young Women Engineers and Scientists), we are the future of STEM!" this camp offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for vibrant collaboration and connection among young women scientists and engineers from Korea and around the world.

Since its beginning in 2012, the YWS camp has been held annually to strengthen young female students’ and researchers’ global capabilities, facilitate the exchange of research information, and promote cultural understanding. Additionally, since 2013, participants in the Smart Sister Program have convened at the Camp to share their enriching experiences and studies in Korea.

As you embark on your journey at the 2024 YWS Camp, I encourage you to forge meaningful connections with your peers, and extend the boundaries of your knowledge. Your energy, creativity, and passion are the driving forces behind the exceptional nature of this camp. You are the promising future of STEM, and together, we can achieve remarkable milestones.
